The treatise “The Isogeometric Analysis Method” by NTUA professor Christopher Provatidis has been uploaded to the Kallipos repository.
This book explains the Isogeometric Analysis method. It’s an improved Finite Element Method using NURBS.Since 2008, many European projects have used it. Some created open-source software for students. Commercial software is also adopting it.You need CAD and Finite Element Method knowledge. Chapters 1-5 cover basic CAD concepts. They focus on curves, surfaces, and volumes. Mathematical proofs are minimal.Chapter 6 provides code for Chapters 1-5. Chapters 7-12 apply the method to various partial differential equations. Chapter 13 gives a historical overview. The book starts with simple problems. It explains the robustness and mass matrices. It covers second and fourth-order equations. Examples include heat transfer, acoustics, and structural analysis.
